The mmeet project emerged in 2018 as an alternative within the dating industry. As a 'quiet tool', the primary goal is to guide a person to a meeting calmly, with interest, and safely — spending only the effort that's actually needed for it.
At this stage mmeet works fully. Everything here happens on screen, and we're responsible for the quality of this stage.
At the core are photos and the mmeet-video — a short video that reveals a person's expressions and voice. This gives far more context than a static photo and lets people decide on a meeting consciously.
The product offers a direct mechanic: viewing videos, sayHello (a 30-second video — the first sincere gesture toward the other person before planning a meeting), and a meeting agreement — choosing time and place together.
How the logistical chat works: access opens only one hour before the meeting for coordination and automatically closes one hour after it ends.
For safety, a guardian contact is added to your profile. It is one phone number visible only to the mmeet safety team, so we can call them in case of an emergency during the meeting.
In addition, the 'Share with a friend' feature lets you send the details of an already-confirmed meeting to anyone you trust. They receive a link with the time, place, and a direct button to reach our safety team.
Product principles:
Time Efficiency
Focused communication saves energy for the real meeting.
Focused Design
The interface is built to guide a person from curiosity to an offline meeting, directing attention exclusively to this process.
Outcome-Oriented
Success is measured by the number of real meetings people have, not by time spent on the screen.
